MEDIATION
Mediation is a form of non-adversarial dispute resolution in which a neutral and impartial third party – the mediator – works with individuals and/or organizations to resolve disputes. The mediator does not prescribe the result. The mediator’s role is to facilitate communication and understanding to identify areas of concern and explore solutions. A skilled mediator may also challenge parties in the position but in a respectful in professional way that helps foster movement toward agreement.
